The pig farm opened in Qedeli Community in 2018. Before the residents were occupied with caring the cows. The community acquired the first cow in 2000 and over time their number increased up to 32. The farm is the first theurapetical workshop. Taking care of animals and contact with them have theraupetic meaning. Animals need daily care, food and cleaning. Carring out these activities helps to develope the feeling of responsibility within the residents and contribues to evolving skills for independent living. The farm is also source of income for the community. Meat is used as food for the residents and is sold some as well.
